May, 2014 -- Springtime in the Pacific Northwest brought piles and puddles of flower petals. Debris flows of dead fallen flowers, seeds, and leaves are a common sight.

Nature generally behaves in a gradual manner. But we see in these photos that something sudden and severe is taking place.
