Only a man in love with the Earth can do what he does. DTL, thanks for this. I am still an activist, hopeful or not. I would take your letter as a performance piece, guerrilla theater, to the same toxic streets. Even if it broke our species' oil fixation only moment by moment, one person by one person, it would serve well. We need powerful theater to make a chink in the armor, a place to pour in a seed of survivalist thinking. Your letter has that power. THANK YOU and KEEP UP THE CRY. BTW I am not terrified, but I know the tide is rising and my feet will feel some of it before I go. I figure planting those seeds must go on, even unto death. And it takes a crazy sort of communal drama to carry your stark truth AND keep on rescuing ourselves, future will only tell what the Universe made out of all this strife.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16293812677425147297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7506332162083548379.post-76314767474887224342015-03-04T14:26:03.068-08:002015-03-04T14:26:03.068-08:00Thank you David for voicing such a stark and ragin...Thank you David for voicing such a stark and raging confession - and indictment - that is as searing as only the truth can be. You are a very rare person to see and feel the tragedy being perpetrated on future generations, including the young alive already today, and you have expressed it with far more brutal honesty than I have ever seen mustered, with all the ink spilled by popular authors in environmental journals. Your vision is raw and visceral and makes me feel so humble and grateful to know you as a friend in these times of terror and regret.Gail Zawackihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01800944469843206253noreply@blogger.com
